My practice-led research looks at hard water and limescale, from limestone underground to the waterscale extract from tap water, I want to understand limescale as a kind of stone. In relation to lockdown, intimatecy, and its close connection with our body, I want to discuss if limescale is a kind of prescious stone. The idea of “threshold” is conducted to discuss the relationship between limescale and gemstones, and different states of limestone in the tap water. As jeweller-artist, I strive to present this topic through author jewellery and objects, using repetition and accumulation as a research method, to create a series of work on preciousness of watermarks.
