The Journey: Design intervention to help the recovery from depression in daily life
Summary
Whether in the field of psychology or design, mental health has always been a widely discussed issue. In response to this problem, from product design that helps people relieve negative emotions to interdisciplinary cooperation to provide patients with more convenient treatment methods, the field of design has long given different attempts and responses.
This study will focus on design interventions in the treatment and recovery stages of depression. First, it will sort out the research on this issue in the field of psychology and define the design opportunity. Secondly, by sorting out the existing related designs, this research tries to summarise the problems worth noting and the standards that need to be considered in related designs in this field so as to provide some references for design research in this field. Finally, by combining the methods of interview-based action design, digital ethnography and behavioural design, this research will produce a design prototype that tries to answer those questions raised in the previous phase of research and also explore a new mode in design for mental health.
