Prints in 2021: Smoke and flame series

A series of prints made by found images from "Evening Standard".

The Smoke and Flame series (2021) shares a similar theme. The title comes from the article itself, because of the riots at that time, Belfast had been described as a place full of smoke and flame. Smoke and flame will make people naturally associate with conflicts and wars. I categorized it as a direct narrative and used 'smoke and flame' as a clue, found similar pictures in subsequent newspapers and gradually formed the entire series. These clues are expanded in constant archiving and selections. I also tried to demonstrate and disclose the narrative potential of images and their associative power with human trauma.
