Yaqi Zhang & Chen Luo Group Project: Floating battery for Maldives

Under the background of global warming, NEMO shipping company has become a part of the governmental mission of reducing carbon emission. Regarding the complexity of marine ecology and sluggish-growth shipping business, NEMO company is desiring innovations that can leverage the wicked problems and benefit both environment and business. This project attempts to reconcile the gap between environmental improvement and business development. Utilizing design research as the central method, this project may also be seen as a practice of leveraging real-world problems through the cooperation between designers and engineers.
