Expanding the Magic Book Form: Exploring the Art Languages of A Spell-Poem

This project aims to explore the contemporary art languages of magic, and the magic book, to open up the possibility of a magical experience for the artist and their viewer. I intend to use the case study of a spell-poem to examine the potentialities of text for bringing us to magical experience. I want to know to what extent translations, interpretations and transformations of texts can further release, or activate in new ways, the magical experience of a spell-poem within the context of contemporary art.
