work description:

In common sense, the audience cannot touch any ceramic works in an exhibition. So I only made three containers like ceramics with resin, and their shapes are based on the shape of sound waves. These three works correspond to three different sound wave shapes and contents. In my designed website, after taking a picture of anyone of Echo Kiln, the audience’s cell phone could play a sound corresponding to this shape of the sound wave. The content of this sound is the cracking, knocking, and collision of ceramics. The “No Touch” rules in the museum and gallery make the audience lose their judgment on the essence of the work. Through sound, texture, and the iconic colors of ceramics, it supposed to be a perfect illusion.
