BEING THERE 2018-2021

Since the first lockdown in the UK in 2020, I have collected certificates, receipts and documents for Project Seal ID. Soft prisoning at home has made my physical traces stable, outdoor activities became remarkable branches of my lived experience. With my collection of life trace, which is continually growing, I want to create an object to exchange information between internal and external world (artist & audience). The idea found its landing during group research of threshold, I built this book as a tunnel to present “experience”. With scanned receipts and documents from my daily routine, I generated a timeline illustrates my experience from 2018-2021. During that time, I moved to London as a foreigner, finished my MA, lived through lockdown, got married, and became a student again. I made my book into Bible size and format, taking the idea of “truth” into a personal context, as experience is the absolute truth and authenticity in life.
