Sly Fox Shed at Home
Summary
During the MRes course in Fine Arts & Humanities, I reflected on my mental journey and research towards creating the future project A Domestic Tradition Invented by Foxes.
During the pandemic, I had a lot of time to think while I was cocooning my self.
I often present my self as a Sly Fox as I love playing around with food, rules, culture and tradition.
Additional info
The traditions, cultures and history that are commonly spoken are national ones - that is, people's identity, advantages, confidence and pride – or, perhaps, struggles. Every country carries the trace of the revolutions, changes and traumas it has experienced.
In my past journey, I expressed how traditions were invented in homes and the politics within the family that exist alongside national traditions and histories.
This, I believe, is where the core of individual identities and characteristics comes from how each one of us was educated by a family and their family members, and how they were taught to be who they are today.
In my written works and poetries, I write exactly what goes around my head – memories, thoughts, imaginaries, dreams and traumas. These are all based on what I have experienced, what I have seen and what I have learned, that lead me through the everyday activity as an artist.
Further, I focus on how methods such as humour and the character and symbolism of spiritual animals are incorporate within the artwork to represent their claims, arguments and disagreements. The main method was to find the NOT DOs and my methodology will be carrying out the DO the DON’T DOs. In order to reach that point, I will find more synonyms that are relevant to my background.
